Deepjyot

Deepjyot is a renovation project in Bharuch that respects the existing character of the home while introducing contemporary spatial sensibilities. Traditional Gujarati elements are woven into the new design, creating a dialogue between heritage and modernity.

The material palette is warm and natural — exposed stone, timber, and lime plaster sit alongside clean contemporary detailing. The layout has been reorganised to improve flow and functionality while preserving the original charm of the home. Key traditional elements such as wooden columns and jali screens were restored and integrated into the new design vocabulary.

Each space is conceived to be lived in, with a quiet, unpretentious elegance. Custom furniture and curated art pieces come together to create a deeply personal environment. Natural materials ground the spaces while soft lighting enhances comfort and intimacy.
